Some programs have returned to in-person; others are still virtual due to the pandemic, based on Age Options and other guidelines.

Introducing the Senior Home Repair Program, available to River Forest and Oak Park residents age 60+! Fees are $20-40 per hour, depending on income. Eligible work includes grab bar installation, hanging pictures, sink/faucet repair, etc. Supported by River Forest Townships and the Villages of RF and OP. Click here for more info.

Active Adult Membership at Dole Center (age 50+): Try lapidary arts, weaving, ceramics and other activities at the Dole Center, run by the Park District of Oak Park. Township Senior Services has a Senior Lunch Program located on the first floor at 130 S. Oak Park Ave. Lunches are served at 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with a suggested contribution of $1.50/meal. All River Forest residents 60 and over are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Transportation to and from the lunch program is available through Senior Services Transportation at 383-4806.
The Township Senior Services Dine Out Program offers seniors the opportunity to enjoy affordable, nutritious lunches or dinners at specified local restaurants. Coupons for this program can be obtained at the Township Senior Lunch Program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00-11:00 AM for a suggested donation of $3.50.
