Employment and Volunteer
The Township has no full-time employees. It does have five (5) part-time employees.
The Township has openings on the Mental Health Committee and Senior & Disability Services Committee. Each committee meets once per month for 8-9 times/year. The Board relies on River Forest resident volunteers to evaluate programming in each respective area. Interested in helping us by serving on the committee for a 3-year term beginning September 2025? Contact Township Supervisor John Becvar (Supervisor@RiverForestTownship.org) by June 10th.
We rely on citizen volunteers to advise on needs and funding priorities and to help with youth, family, mental health and senior services. Your gift of time, talent and service can make a real difference in the lives of neighbors in need. Township Committee Members are volunteers who are registered voters appointed by the Township Trustees to serve up to 3-year terms.

Your Kindness Can Light Up a Senior’s Day
Delivering meals to seniors isn’t just about dropping off food - it’s about being a friendly face and spreading joy. We are seeking volunteers with a car to deliver meals to older adults two mornings per week for about two hours each day.
If you are interested in volunteering, call 708 383 8060. Background checks required.
