Case Management
River Forest Township and Oak Park Township can have a case manager come out to the senior’s home and assess what services they may be eligible for based on their situation. Services include home delivered meals, chore services, in home care, transportation services, and even handyman services.

Protective Services

Money Management Services
The senior services department of Oak Park and River Forest Townships can provide assistance to older adults that need assistance paying bills, sorting mail, balancing their checkbook and more. This service is free for those that meet the income guidelines, and there is also assistance for those who can pay privately.

Financial Assistance for Family Caregivers
Financial Assistance (or Gap Filling) is available for lower-income River Forest residents.
ADRD (Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Disorders) GAP Funds: The purpose of this funding is to meet the identified needs of the person with dementia and/or their primary caregiver to ensure their health, safety and welfare of the individual with dementia ($1,500 maximum per year per qualifying client)
CRC Gap Funds: The purpose of this funding is to provide services to assist caregivers with unmet needs to maintain a care recipient’s independence, safety, and well-being by providing limited financial assistance. ($250 per year maximum amount per client)
CRG Gap Funds: The purpose of these funds is to provide services to assist grandparents or other non-parent relatives of any related children (who are not more than 18 or who are 19-59 with a disability) ($250 per year maximum amount per client)
