Second installment tax bills will be available to view online sometime in June of 2025 with a probable due date of August 1st. They will also be available to pay online.
Second installment property tax bills reflect exemptions.
Property Tax Cycle
The new year introduces the start of a new property tax cycle. The timing of things this year will be slightly different, however, we will continue to have appeal sessions with the Cook County Assessor and the Board of Review. Exemption applications will be processed, tax levies will be determined by taxing bodies and property tax bills calculated, sent and due all before the end of the year.

1st installment property tax bill payments are expected to be mailed out on-time with an approximately due date of March 1st, 2025. You can plan for and calculate your first installment tax bill. Multiply your total tax bill paid in 2024 by 55%. Exemptions are only reflected on the 2nd installment tax bill with an estimated due date of August 1st.

The Treasurer's website allows you to check the status of your property tax bill, as well as directing you where and how to pay your tax bill.

Tax bills can be paid at any of the Chase Bank locations, the Cook County Treasurer's Office at 118 N. Clark Street Chicago, IL, or online: CookCountyTreasurer.com.
If you did not receive your tax bill, contact the Treasurer's office at 312-443-5100 or visit their website at CookCountyTreasurer.com. Be sure to check that your name and address are correct. We can also assist you in getting a duplicate tax bill.
